Funding Available
Eligible Albertans may receive up to $12,000 per person in each benefit year and up to $24,000 per person within a 10-year period through the RAMP program.
Funding may be used for eligible permanent modifications that help you safely enter, exit, and move around your home.
Depending on your needs and RAMP eligibility, modifications may include accessibility improvements such as ramps, doorway modifications, bathroom accessibility improvements, and other changes designed to improve mobility within the home.
AB Renovation can assess the proposed work and prepare a detailed renovation estimate to support your application.

Could You Qualify for RAMP
Do I Qualify?
RAMP is designed primarily for lower-income Albertans who have significant mobility challenges.
You may qualify if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Alberta and meet the program’s income and mobility requirements. The program generally supports individuals who permanently use a wheelchair, seniors aged 65 or older who permanently use a four-wheel walker, and certain individuals living with progressive medical conditions that are expected to significantly affect mobility.
Applicants may be homeowners, tenants, or individuals living with family. Additional documentation or property-owner approval may be required depending on the living arrangement.
Eligibility and funding decisions are made by the Government of Alberta.
Unsure whether your situation or proposed renovation may qualify? Contact AB Renovation and we can help you review the project requirements before you proceed.
We Can Help Make the Process Easier
How to Apply
A RAMP application requires more than simply describing the renovation you want. The application must include the required forms and supporting information so the Government of Alberta can assess both your eligibility and the proposed modification.
The process generally includes reviewing the RAMP guidelines, completing the application and modification recommendation forms, gathering the required supporting documents, obtaining renovation information and estimates, and submitting the completed application package to RAMP.
AB Renovation can help with the renovation side of your application. We can assess your home, discuss appropriate accessibility modifications, prepare a project scope and estimate, and provide supporting renovation information for your application.
Where appropriate, applicants can also authorize RAMP to communicate with a contractor or other third party regarding their application.

From Approval to Renovation
After Approval
After RAMP receives a complete application, the program reviews your eligibility and the proposed home modification. Applicants should normally receive a funding decision within approximately 30 days, although individual circumstances may affect processing.
If your application is approved, the modification generally must be completed within 90 days of approval, unless RAMP authorizes a different timeline.
This is where having your renovation plan prepared in advance can help.
AB Renovation can coordinate the approved accessibility work, complete the renovation according to the agreed scope, and provide the project documentation required for the completed work.
If additional information about the renovation is requested during the application process, we can also assist with clarifying the proposed scope of work.
Contact AB Renovation today to discuss your accessibility needs, possible RAMP-funded modifications, and the next steps for your application.
